2020 Water Events in Sub-Saharan Africa



The African Water Association (AFWA) is holding its 20th International Congress and Exhibition from 23rd to 27th February 2020. This event will be held in Kampala, Uganda. The AfWA is a professional association of establishments, enterprises, and utilities in areas of drinking water, sanitation, and environment Africa. Florence Tanui (author of this blog) will be part of the groundwater panel discussion critical groundwater issues in the continent. She was identified to be part of the scientific team in this conference following her active participation and presentation Experts and Stakeholders’ Workshop on the AMCOW Pan-African Groundwater Program (APAGroP), October 1st – 2nd, 2019, Nairobi, Kenya. East Africa Water Week: This event will be hosted by Eawaters on 21-22 September 2020 at Olesereni Hotel Nairobi. The theme of this conference will is “Sustainable Water and Sanitation in the Face of Climate Change.”


35th SEGH International Conference: Geochemistry for Sustainable Development: The SEGH conference will take place from 6-10th July 2020 in Eldoret, Kenya, and the main theme will be Geochemistry for Sustainable Development.
